Privacy and Your Calgary Furnace Repair Request

This page explains what YYC Furnace Repair collects, why, who sees it and how long it is kept. The site is run by Wizard Web, and privacy questions go to hello@wizardweb.ca.

Who runs this site

This website is operated by Wizard Web. YYC Furnace Repair is the name of the website, not a company. The site takes furnace repair requests and tries to pass each one to an independent, local, service provider. It is not itself a heating contractor. Wizard Web may be paid by the local provider it passes requests to.

Privacy contact: Wizard Web's privacy officer, at hello@wizardweb.ca. The privacy officer answers questions about how your information is collected, used, shared or stored, including by service providers outside Canada.

What we collect

  • The request form. Your name, phone number, area, the problem you choose, anything you type in the details box, the page you sent it from, and the time.
  • Phone calls. Calls to 587-880-3103 are answered by an automated assistant. Calls to this number travel through our phone carrier, voip.ms, in Canada. The call is transcribed, and a short summary is made. The audio is not recorded. We also receive the number you called from (caller ID).
  • Visit statistics. A small script on each page tells our own analytics server (app.wizardweb.ca) when a page is viewed, when the phone number is tapped, and when the form is sent. To count return visits, it keeps a random ID in your browser's local storage under the name wzv.
  • Spam protection. The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile (challenges.cloudflare.com) to check that a person, not a bot, is sending it.
  • Server logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs, such as your IP address and the page you asked for.
  • A request log. For each request we log the time, the area, the type of problem, and whether it came by phone or form. This log holds no name and no phone number.

Cookies

This site sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the form, may set its own cookies to do that job.

Why we collect it

Your request and call details are used to connect you with a local furnace technician who will call back as soon as possible about the work. Visit statistics show which pages people use. Turnstile and the server logs keep the site and the form working and free of spam. The request log counts requests by area and problem type.

Who sees it

  • Wizard Web, the operator. Wizard Web uses AI tools run by service providers in the United States to read and sort the requests it receives.
  • One independent, local, service provider, if we find one to pass your request to. That provider contacts you directly and deals with you about the work and the price.
  • The service providers named on this page, which run parts of the site and the phone line for us.

Where it is processed, including outside Canada

The automated assistant that answers calls is run by ElevenLabs. ElevenLabs processes and stores call transcripts and summaries in the United States. The AI model the assistant runs on comes from another provider, which also processes the call text and may do so outside Canada.

Cloudflare hosts the site and the form, stores form requests and call summaries, and carries our email. Cloudflare runs a worldwide network, so this data may be processed outside Canada.

While your information is in another country, it is subject to that country's laws, and courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there may be able to access it. For our written practices on service providers outside Canada, email the privacy officer at hello@wizardweb.ca.

How long we keep it

  • Form requests: stored for 30 days, then deleted automatically.
  • Call transcripts: kept by ElevenLabs for 30 days.
  • Call summaries: stored for 30 days.
  • Emails carrying your request or call summary: kept as long as needed to arrange the job.
  • The request log (no names or numbers): up to 400 days.
  • Visit statistics: kept in our own analytics database with no set deletion date. Each entry holds a random visitor ID, the page, the referring website, the country and the device type, never your name, number or address. To have yours deleted, email hello@wizardweb.ca.
  • Cloudflare request logs and Turnstile: under Cloudflare's own policies.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@wizardweb.ca and include the phone number you used, so we can find your request.

If you'd rather not have your call transcribed, send the form instead.

You can clear the wzv entry from your browser's storage at any time.

Please don't share door codes, alarm codes or payment details in the form or on a call. Give those only to the pro you choose.
